In a few years, as you prepare your soon-to-be high school graduate’s senior party, would you prefer perfectly posed photos with eyes straight at the camera, where your child isn’t fully smiling because you had to give them the look and threaten screen time to sit still and smile, and they couldn’t wait to leave?
Or, would you rather look back at photos capturing your toddler as a shy little goofball who only smiled when you made them shout "poopy!"?
Exactly! My heart can't take it either. 🥹

I take a more candid approach when it comes to my sessions. I let the kiddos run the roost for 45 minutes, kinda. I find the sweet hugs and laughs are my favorite verses when everyone is looking at the camera perfectly. The tickles and silly faces usually make the cut for the final gallery. If the kiddos need to take a second to run around we can start the session with chasing and tickle prompts. or we can get a couple of posed ones out of the way and get to the fun! I just think in however many years from now when you are looking through your pictures you see the images I took for you and remember how life was at that time.
